The India-Tanzania Business Forum & Roadshow 2024 marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between India and Tanzania. MARS organized this forum in collaboration with the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) and Tanzania High Commission in India, this initiative aimed to explore untapped investment opportunities and foster economic partnerships. This prestigious event followed the successful visit of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, Hon’ble President of Tanzania, to India and previous productive forums. The 2024 Roadshow brought together a 22-member Tanzanian delegation comprising ministers, industrialists, and investors to interact with Indian entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders.

13th October 2024: Haridwar
The journey began with an industrial visit to Genuine Medica Private Limited, a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in critical care medicines, injectables, and general healthcare solutions. Delegates toured the state-of-the-art facilities and gained insights into the company’s contributions to global healthcare.
14th October 2024: Haridwar Business Forum
The delegation visited Sidcul, Haridwar, for an insightful business forum at Haridwar University. Key participants included Tanzanian government officials and local entrepreneurs. Discussions focused on enhancing import and export ties between the two nations, with the District Magistrate of Haridwar emphasizing the vast opportunities for collaboration in Tanzania.
This grand event witnessed the participation of various high-level representatives from the industries of both India and Tanzania, including key leaders, government officials, and investors. Both sides shared their insights, with the Tanzanian delegation highlighting emerging investment opportunities and economic development initiatives in Tanzania. Meanwhile, the Indian delegation emphasized the significance of India’s growing markets and the importance of business collaboration.
During the forum, discussions revolved around several sectors, including agriculture, green energy, technological innovation, and infrastructure, exploring investment opportunities in each. Representatives from both nations also deliberated on ways to strengthen bilateral trade relations further.
