Ho Chi Minh City & Hanoi, Vietnam – From May 8 to 14, 2025, a multi-sectoral Indian business delegation was successfully organized in Vietnam by Marketing Assistance and Research Support (MARS) Founder Mrs. Rekha Sharma and Associate Director Mr. Pradeep Chauhan, in collaboration with SMAU International Industry & Trade Chambersrepresented by National Senior Vice Chairman Dr. Mohinder Singh Ahuja and Mrs. Shobha Ahuja. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Indian High Commission and the Vietnam High Commission.
The delegation consisted of 30 Indian business representatives and investors from various states, including Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, who travelled to explore business opportunities in Vietnam.
The visit commenced on May 8 in Binh Duong City, where the delegation attended the Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition. Delegates engaged in discussions with several exhibitors such as May Xeo Pingan, a renowned producer of tissue and crescent paper. The atmosphere was vibrant and the conversations centered around business collaborations, potential partnerships, and opportunities in Vietnam. This marked a strong start to the delegation organized by MARS and SMAU.
On May 9, the delegation visited the Smart City Asia 2025 exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City. The presence of Chinese businesses was notable at the event. Delegates connected with enterprises from sectors such as smart agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and ICT. A productive platform was created through engagement with the Department of Trade and Industry of Vietnam, fostering promising B2B collaboration. Additionally, a B2B Conference and Meetings were held, enabling in-depth interactions between businesses from both countries.
On May 10, the delegation continued with B2B conferences and meetings across various sectors, accompanied by factory visits. These visits provided delegates with firsthand insights into local industrial operations and business environments.
According to the organizers, MARS and SMAU, the delegation played a crucial role in strengthening economic ties between India and Vietnam, promoting bilateral trade, and facilitating global investment opportunities.
On May 11, the delegation traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi and participated in the Medi Pharma EXPO, where B2B meetings and networking sessions were conducted with companies from the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. At the end of the day, the delegation checked into Marvellous Hotel and Spa for an overnight stay.
On May 12, a Business Forum and B2B Meeting is scheduled in partnership with the Indian High Commission and Invest Global, Vietnam’s government-backed investment promotion authority. The discussions will focus on trade promotion and investment cooperation between the two nations.
On May 13, the delegation will meet with Mr. Navendu Kumar, Chairman of the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM), to discuss India-Vietnam trade relations, investment opportunities, and avenues for bilateral cooperation. This meeting represents a significant opportunity for the delegation to strengthen their commercial interests in Vietnam.
The delegation will return to India on May 14, 2025.
According to the event organizers – MARS, Invest Global, and SMAU – this initiative marks an important step towards reinforcing economic relations between India and Vietnam and boosting bilateral trade and investment at a global level.
During the delegation, we visited three key exhibitions:
- The Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition in Binh Duong City, where our delegates explored innovations in the paper and packaging industry.
- Smart Asia–2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, offering insights into smart technologies across various sectors.
- TheMedi Pharma Expo in Hanoi, focusing on advancements in medical and pharmaceutical fields.
We also held productive meetings with:
- Ms. Truong Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director General, International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI),discussing potential areas for trade enhancement.
- Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai, Deputy Director – Vietnam Trade Promotion Authority, Ministry of Industry and Trade, exploring opportunities to promote Indian products in Vietnam.
- MARS- GIBF and Invest Global jointly with the support from your office organized Business Forum and B2B meetings, MARS also signed a MoU with Invest global to facilitate investment partnerships.
- On May 13, a small get-together and business meet was organised byIndian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM) where we met with Indian business leaders and members of INCHAM.
- Vietnam Dairy Association,with 2 delegates who were in to Geer Cow Colostrum we visited VDA and Vita Dairy and Nutri care ( I trust very soon we will convert this in long business partnership).
- MARS hadsigned a MoU with Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM), marking a significant step toward deeper cooperation. These agreements reflect our commitment to building sustainable business relationships.
This delegation underscores the growing economic partnership between India and Vietnam, with significant potential for further trade and investment growth. At MARS, we are dedicated to fostering these ties through initiatives like our “India SME Trade Connect” project and future delegations.
